 Today is Q101’s last day on air. I’m kind of emo about it ONLY because I have so many memories associated with that station. So many relationships formed over music and concerts during my teenage years.

My brother kind of said it best,

“Q101 is going off the air after today…while they have always had the tendency of overplaying a lot of bad music over the years, they were the only station that offered a decent mix of alternative, punk, and rock. I grew up listening to that station and it molded my musical interests and helped make 90’s alternative rock more relevant through the years. You will be missed Q101…RIP”

Couldn’t agree more. I’m so glad they played some Depeche Mode, The Clash, The Smiths, REM and Radiohead today. Even some Veruca Salt. Haha. (my first concert was V.Salt and Bush, don’t judge!) So many memories!

Noah is out for about 8-10 weeks due to a thumb injury and subsequent surgery.  I have faith in our bench (Gibson, Asik), but it will suck to be without him. It seemed the starters had all begun to gel right about now. The Bulls are on a 7-0 streak, here’s hoping they can keep it up.

I miss…

My outfit today. I remember growing up my dad had a zillion Superbowl Posters, Pins, basically a lot of Bears superbowl XX stuff. I don’t know where a lot of it went. Sadface. But in things we did keep: My sister took the amazing bears pompom hat, and I took this shirt.

Oh well, boohoo, and so what that he announced it on television. With athletes these days it’s not about the fans like it used to be. But I do feel bad for the city of Cleveland.

That said, I think he passed up a greater opportunity in Chicago and I don’t say that because I’m a Chicagoan, but from a perspective of where he could win a championship.  However, I’m looking forward to the upcoming season. I don’t really care that he’s not a Bull, but I do believe this ‘trifecta’ has made many, many, enemies today.

And with Noah, Boozer, and Rose..it sure will be fun to play (and beat) the Heat
